Cell
Phone Use
The Library has developed a cell phone procedure in response to
a complaint from a computer customer. It was discussed and agreed
to at the Library board meeting February 11, 2003.
Library Staff will hold cell phone conversations to the same standards
that we use for person to person interactions. If a conversation
is
disturbing other patrons or staff, the customer will be informed.
Cards have been printed to hand to customers who are engaged in
cell
phone conversations explaining the following rules:
1. Patrons are asked to put their cell phones on vibrate.
2. Cell phone conversations should be conducted outside or in
the
area next to the public restrooms.
3. There will be no cell phone conversations at the computer
terminals.
