Interlibrary Loan

Wicomico Public Library card holders have access to materials in libraries throughout the state by using Marina. Marina is a statewide interlibrary loan system. Customers with a Maryland Public Library borrower's card can request materials not owned by their local public library system from another Maryland Public Library System using this service. This service is made available by the State Library Resource Center. There is a sixty cent per item charge to cover the mailing costs of notifying you when the item is available. Materials requested will be delivered to this library (or another library in the state which you select). You will be notified when the item is available for pickup, and be able to borrow it using your card. You will be able to return it to the library where you picked it up. There are no renewals on loaned materials.
Materials that may NOT be requested via Marina
You may place your own interlibrary loan requests on line, or ask a librarian for help either at the library, by telephone, or by email. You will need your library card number to submit a request. You can log on as "guest" to search the system, but will not be able to submit a request without your library card number.
If you still do not find the desired item, contact the library staff. Additional interlibrary loan options are possible, but may require conducting additional research or possible fee. Library staff will be glad to work with you.
