Library Web Sites

Visit our Kids and homework help web sites. We will be updating these with more features and your students may find them to be a great resource.

Remind your students...

Kids without computers at home can use the ones at the library or at the library facilites at the Centre at Salisbury, WestSide Community Center, or Pittsville Branch to do online research,  type up a paper, or work on a project.

Assignment Alert

Planning a research assignment, book report, or science project? Fill out our short online form to let us know how we can help by gathering pertinent materials, having a copy available for students, and knowing your requirements for the assignments

Novelist

Trying to find a few titles for your students to read?  Have a student who would like a story about teenage spies during the American Revolution? Try out this great resource. Novelist helps you quickly find books by genre, age, reading level, subject, series and more. Book reviews and story extenders are available for many titles.   (this is a subscription database funded through the library; you will be asked to log in with your library card number)

Other electronic subscription services available through the library let students search for full text magazine articles for their grade levels (Searchasaurus),  encyclopedias and atlases (Grolier, Americana, and Book of Knowledge),  and more.
