DESCRIPTION:At Paws to Read, children can read aloud to a dog for 5 - 7 mi
 nutes. A volunteer will be present during the entire session. This activit
 y helps build reading confidence in children while they are relaxing and h
 aving fun. This fun and popular program is proven to lay the foundation fo
 r a lifetime of learning and it encourages the love of books in an environ
 ment full of opportunities to practice communications skills.For children 
 ages 4 - 12 who are accompanied by an adult and are not allergic to dogs. 
 Bring your own books or choose library books to read. Permission slips may
  be filled out the day of program or you can fill out and submit the form 
 here. This program will be held the 2nd & 4th Monday of each month.
