How it Works:
Help Smokey celebrate his birthday by learning how to prevent wildfires and help the environment. Read 3 books and earn 4 badges to complete the challenge!
Kick off 2026 with Wicomico Public Library’s Adult Reading Challenge! Organized by the Adult Services Department at the Paul S.
Join us for Paws to Read, a fun and engaging program where children can read aloud to a friendly dog for 5 to 10 minutes. Upon arrival, readers can pick up a ticket that corresponds to the dog they wish to read to.

Attending Children
Children under 8 must be monitored by a guardian who is at least 13 years old to assure the safety and behavior of that child. Children ages 8 and older may visit the library independently provided they are able to care for themselves and are able to understand and follow the Library’s Behavior Guidelines.
