Ms. Orr is a retired financial industry leader. Prior to her retirement she served as Vice President of Member Services for Sussex County Federal Credit Union where she was responsible for personnel and the overall performance of a $200 million branch network consisting of four offices in Sussex County, DE. Ms. Orr’s professional experience has resulted in her expertise in the following areas: business development; branch operations and customer service; consumer lending; financial analysis; bank compliance regulations; procedure development; internal controls; and audit management. Since leaving full time employment, Ms. Orr has expanded her involvement with the community. She was selected as Rotarian of the Year by her Rotary Club. She is also a member of the Friends of Wicomico Public Libraries Steering Committee. She served as co-chair for the 2020 Light of Literacy Awards. In her submission to the Board of Trustees’ Nominating Committee, Ms. Orr highlighted her lifelong use and support of public libraries when explaining her desire to be on the Library’s Board. Ms. Orr also highlighted the positive impact a vibrant public library has on the surrounding community’s property values. Ms. Orr cited the need to identify and build partnerships as an avenue to build support for the Library.
