Wicomico Public Library is grateful and excited to announce a historic $1 million gift from the Donnie Williams Foundation to support the forthcoming Paul S. Sarbanes Library on Schumaker Pond. This major donation will support the creation of the primary programming area of the new flagship library expected to open in Summer 2027.
The leading gift, one of the most significant donations in the Library’s history, exemplifies the Donnie Williams Foundation’s mission to make big dreams possible. Mr. Williams dedicated his fortune to supporting the children of our community. The Donnie Williams STEAM Studio will provide science, technology, engineering, art, and math instruction to generations of students at a library that will be located close to multiple Wicomico public schools.
