"An appealing modern library is a key anchor of our community." That's why Jean & Vic Laws became enthusiastic supporters of the Building Our Library Together campaign for a new flagship Paul S. Sarbanes Library on Schumaker Pond.
They contributed $50,000 to sponsor the Jean & Vic Laws Storywalk Trail to be located along the pond's edge. Like our current Storywalk along the Riverwalk in downtown Salisbury, the Jean & Vic Laws Storywalk Trail will feature a new children's picture book each month laid out in a series of display cases - free to the public and available at all times of the day. It's the perfect way to encourage early literacy, physical wellness, and a love for the great outdoors. And it's an excellent glimpse into the many programming possibilities for the green spaces of our new 10-acre site.
