Event Details

Welcome to Booked for the Weekend! This book club features one title per month with selections from a variety of genres and authors. Discussions will be held the second Saturday of each month beginning at 10:30 am in meeting room #4 located in the basement. 

Our March selection is Kindred by Octavia Butler. This visionary author’s masterpiece pulls us—along with her Black female hero—through time to face the horrors of slavery and explore the impacts of racism, sexism, and white supremacy then and now.

Feel free to bring coffee or tea and light snacks to enjoy during our discussion. 

The selected titles are available to request through your local library or in digital format through Libby by Overdrive.
