Get ready to imagine, explore, and create! Minds in Motion is a hands-on STEAM program designed for elementary students to spark curiosity and build problem-solving skills through fun, engaging activities. Each session will feature exciting experiments and challenges in science, technology, engineering, art, and math—perfect for curious minds who love to tinker, build, and discover. Whether we’re coding robots, designing structures, or launching simple science experiments, there’s always something new to explore.
Recommended for ages 6–11. Registration is encouraged.
This Spring we’ll be adding Flight Path Lab activities once a month to the Minds in Motion program. We’ll use hands-on activities to learn about bird migration, identify local and regional birds, and to become science explorers.
March 18 - Should I Stay or Should I Go Now? Learn to identify common local species, and explore and compare the different survival strategies of seasonal birds vs. year-round residents.
April 15 - Identifying Birds in Your Neighborhood We’ll take a walk outside and identify birds using a Birds of the Northeast ID Card.
May 20 - Amazing Adaptations Learn about the many adaptations birds use to survive various habitats. Everyone will get to create their own unique bird species out of art supplies.
