Program Description

Event Details

Join us for Paws to Read, a fun and engaging program where children can read aloud to a friendly dog for 5 to 10 minutes. Upon arrival, readers can pick up a ticket that corresponds to the dog they wish to read to. When their ticket number is called, they’ll have their turn to read, supported by a volunteer throughout the session. This relaxed environment helps build reading confidence and encourages a lifelong love of books.

This program is designed for children ages 4 to 12 who are accompanied by an adult and have no allergies to dogs. Participants may bring their own books or select from the library’s collection. Permission slips can be completed on the day of the event or submitted online in advance.

Paws to Read sessions take place on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month. Starting in September, the program will be held in Room 1.
