Event Details

Youth Gardening Club is taking a field trip to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore! Please arrive by 3:45 pm to give us enough time for the tour and activity and to also wear comfortable walking shoes, hats, and sunscreen since we will be outside the entire time. Because of the rainy weather we have been experiencing please carry an umbrella for this fieldtrip.

Our meeting spot is in the parking lot of the new Engineering and Aviation Science Complex (parking lot is in the back of the building). Please see the campus map in the attached file.

Learn to grow fresh and delicious fruits and vegetables in your own backyard for free! In this six month class, we will meet on the first and fourth Tuesday of each month to learn the fundamentals of growing our own food to learn to be more self-sufficient. The second meeting of each month will be an outreach based program in the community in order to provide more hands-on experiences and to explore environmental studies.
