Hoopla Service Announcement

Eastern Shore Regional Library, Inc. has announced that effective June 1, 2026, it will no longer offer Hoopla, a digital media service that many patrons of the Wicomico Public Library have come to use and love.

The Jan 2026 Reads is here!

The Jan. 2026 Reads is now available in all Wicomico Public Library locations or online.

Today we want to highlight the $50,000 donation given by Gary and Tracy Desjardins

The Desjardins have long been a key part of the Salisbury and Wicomico County communities, and Gary even received his degree from Salisbury University. Their donation will go toward creating more focused storytimes for children.

The future of the Paul S. Sarbanes Library at Schumaker Pond continues to take shape, thanks to the contribution from George Demko, who has given $10,000 in honor of his late wife, Joan Demko.

George Demko has been a key part of the Wicomico County community for the past 35 years, since he first moved to the area with his wife, Joan.

The creation of the new Paul S. Sarbanes Library at Schumaker Pond continues to be a true community effort. Today we want to highlight the generous contributions of Ray and Donna Hoy.

Our Friends Foundation was fortunate enough to secure their early support for the Building Our Library Together campaign. Ray and Donna donated $10,000 to fund a new feature at the library: a "soundproof pod."

Those are the inspiring and now ubiquitous words of Charles "Chip" Dashiell himself, the Immediate Past Chair of our Board of Trustees, the current Vice-Chair of our Friends Foundation, and now, with his wife, Ruby, a $25,000 donor to the Building Our Library Together campaign. It truly is an exciting time with support like that!

Today, we have some very special books going into the stacks: the first batch of a three-year sponsorship of our children's collection by Shore Distributors!
